- justsoup: "If you use a OnePlus 6T with postmarketOS and want to help out with catching bugs and making it better, please test https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/9326. The instructions for testing are in the descriptionThat merge request finally enforces using Pipewire for the device for audio after years of working towards that. I want to ensure that the merge causes no regressions, so on-device testing by different people with different devices is the only way to do so.#PostMarketOS"
- UndeadLeech: I think I might have figured out why calls on my #Fairphone 5 were muting the bottom speaker on #Archlinux, but not on #postmarketOS: https://github.com/sc7280-mainline/linux/pull/32#issuecomment-5247866014This kind of stuff is exactly why it's a good thing to have multiple distro choices. I never would have found this if I hadn't been running ArchLinux with a different Kernel version. Now hopefully everyone can enjoy this.#linuxmobile

Hardware (enablement)
- dawndrums: dawndrums: "We received Divine D’s MainPCB Rev. 1.1 and we have been conducting several tests for past few weeks. So far we have the following running with DawnOS (mobian base, mainline Kernel 7.1 + patches) […] Documentation will soon include further details and test results.…"
- dawndrums: "We introduce the first accessory board Acc-DBG Rev 1.0 that pairs with Divine D., allowing debug features and interface expansion to external hardware. The board supports:- Magnetic and Hot-plug Pogo interface- Enables Maskrom mode to allow flashing/reading the internal eMMC over USB-C- USB-to-Serial Port for the System Terminal- 40-pin exposing several interfaces, including I2C, SPI, GPIOs…- External aux power supply - JTAG for SoC and LoRa- USB2#Dawndrums #DivineD #LinuxMobile #foss"

"step-by-step hand-guided" is more realistic) me into adapting s6sy761 touchscreen driver (again, starqltechn) for crosshatch's .https://salsa.debian.org/Mobian-team/devices/kernels/qcom-linux/-/commits/wip/tiol/7.2-sdm845_crosshatchStill a lot of work ahead, of course, but... hey, I did a thing! 😎"
- awai: "MediaTek going more and more open (source) as time goes by is extremely exciting, and hopefully something we can leverage in the #LinuxMobile space in the not-so-distant future :linux: On a personal level, being part of this effort is incredibly rewarding, although quite challenging at times 😉https://www.collabora.com/news-and-blog/news-and-events/mediatek-genio-upstream-update-from-hdmi-20-to-booting-uboot-trusted-firmware-a.html#OpenSource"

- pedro_mateus: Today I get to play with a new toy! If everything goes to plan, @jolla 's new phone is going to be the final nail in the Android coffin for me. I'll still need to use a few Android apps, but the compatibility layer seems to be good enough for what I need.Quick first impressions: - Hefty and solid, considering you can just take the back right off. - It's about the same size as a Nothing Phone 1, similar camera setup as well. The camera app is by far the least impressive thing about it.- 90hz AMOLED screen that looks spectacular. Funnily enough, it's the Android apps that refuse to render at 90Hz, making scrolling through them a little choppy. -The battery life seems amazing, even with the Android compatibility running and Wireguard connected to Proton VPN all the time. After about 10 hours with heavy use, it came down from 72% to 33%. That's spectacular, if you ask me.It is a nice phone. Genuinely!#Linux #Phone #Jolla #Sailfishos #Android #European #Technology

Very soon on Chum and hopefully soon on Harbour!@frankps don’t worry, translations will be coming soon, but I wanted to give you a preview 😉
- frankps: Have you ever visited the SailfishOS.app service? It shows what Android apps work on Sailfish OS, and when there is a native option. The service got a nice upgrade today and is out in v1.1.https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/sailfishos-app-compatibility-database-feedback-thread/27284/60?u=frankps#SailfishOS #AndroidApps #Jolla
