- @dos@librem.one: Took me 3 days of soldering, but it works!I can connect it to a Librem 5 and it automatically does all the needed PD stuff to expose its UART over USB-C 😁 It's also capable of a lot of other PD magic as a USB PD analyzer / injector / filter. However, while these solder joints made a good job lasting till I got the firmware PoC working, it doesn't seem like they're going to last much longer... More soldering ahead 😫#debubo #kicad #stm32 #usbpd #librem5 #shotonlibrem5 #diy #electronics #oshw

- @flamingradian: This is the Unfettered Keyboard, my newly released on-screen keyboard (re-)written in #Rust for #linuxmobile. It takes heavy inspiration from the Unexpected Keyboard for Android (even using the same XML layout format) and lets you type at least 69 characters on the default layout without switching. Not shown is support for Ctrl+Shift keyboard shortcuts with the two levels of the keymap.https://gitlab.com/flamingradian/unfettered-keyboardhttps://github.com/Julow/Unexpected-Keyboard

- @janvlug: #Crimson is the next version of #PureOS, the #Linux distribution that comes with the #Librem5 #phone. @purism provided a month ago the totally optional possibility to support the PureOS development financially. Here is a report regarding the PureOS Crimson development in July 2024.Amongst other things a #ModemManager fix was upstreamed, which will benefit all devices with similar modems.https://puri.sm/posts/pureos-crimson-development-report-july-2024/Thanks to all subscribers and devs!#FOSS #OpenSource #MobileLinux #Purism

Ubuntu Touch
- fredldotme: Building on top of Marius' patches and improving on them, Lomiri now centers GTK windows properly and has Wayland subsurface support improved. It looks almost as one expects, minus the titlebar+headerbar shenanigans of GTK.There are still some issues which need to be tackled, but it is a good start.
- fredldotme: Those who claim Ubuntu's phone history to be just a short phase, the "Rise and Fall" and whatnot, are just bystanders.
