Another week, another weekly update - this time collected and edited on another continent: Ubuntu Touch 20.04 comes with a new release model (and keeps pumping out Q&A videos), improvements coming to Phosh and to PinePhone Pro with a huge update to rk2aw and u-boot, a FOSDEM special episode of the postmarketOS podcast, a great video about Genode on PinePhone, and more!
Addition: Also, a new release of LuneOS, the continuation of webOS!

Weekly GNU-like Mobile Linux Update (05/2024): Support Phosh and watch great talks!
Delayed and with post-FOSDEM blues, this Weekly Update goes through what happened in the past week:
Phosh 0.36.0 and Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA 4 were released, new renderers in GTK4 are going to be good for performance, but not on slower Linux Phones, you can support Phosh's development directly now, an Update on Itinerary, progress on the new PinePhone WiFi driver, and recordings of FOSDEM talks showing up!

With FOSDEM 2024 approaching, let's have another roundup: Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA 4, gmobile 0.0.5, an update on progress in Nemo Mobile (plus a Qt6-based image to try out), a healthy "Worth Reading" section, another episode of the postmarketOS podcast and sadly not much of a video section.

Weekly GNU-like Mobile Linux Update (02/2024): Plasma 6 rc1, Phosh 0.35.1, and WiFi/BT progress
Aside from progress regarding the next releases of major desktop environments (that always provide some goodies for mobile), this week saw improvements on WiFi/BT things on Sailfish OS, but also some promising work towards a mainline-able rtl8723cs driver, the infamous WiFi/BT solution of the OG AllWinner A64-powered PinePhone. Also: libcamera 0.2.0, a progress report on KDE PIM, Mobian on the Fairphone 5, and a postmarketOS progress report.
